Clean up your nightstand and keep your devices charged

Fewer loose cables. A place for your phone, earbuds, and watch. Here’s how to choose a charging setup that fits your nightly routine.

Your phone cable has slipped behind the bed again. Your earbuds are somewhere under a book, and the outlet is already full. By morning, one of them still needs charging.

A charging stand gives your devices a regular place to land. For a compatible phone and wireless earbuds, a 2-in-1 stand can replace two separate charging spots with one station. You still need a power cable to the stand, but you stop fishing around for a connector every night.

A simple starting point: Anker MagGo 2-in-1

Our pick is the Anker MagGo 2-in-1 Charging Stand. It holds a compatible phone on an adjustable magnetic stand, with a separate charging area for wireless earbuds. That puts both devices in one place and keeps the phone screen easy to glance at.

It makes sense if your nightly routine is phone plus earbuds. If you also charge an Apple Watch beside the bed, one of the 3-in-1 options below can bring all three devices together.

Buy for the devices you actually charge

  • Just a phone? A single stand or your existing cable may be all you need.
  • Phone and earbuds? A 2-in-1 station is a tidy fit, provided the earbud case supports wireless charging.
  • Phone, earbuds, and watch? Look for a 3-in-1 station that explicitly supports your watch.

Choose the station with charging spots for the devices you keep beside the bed.

Three options if you also charge an Apple Watch

Each of these stations has places for a compatible phone, Apple Watch, and wireless-charging earbud case. Choose the shape and features that suit your routine.

For a regular bedside spot: MagGo 3-in-1 Dock

The MagGo 3-in-1 Dock adds a dedicated Apple Watch charger to a compact stand with an adjustable phone angle. It supports up to 15W wireless phone charging. We’d start here if you want all three devices together and expect the station to stay beside the bed.

For home and travel: Prime Foldable 3-in-1

The Prime Foldable 3-in-1 folds down for packing, so the same charging setup can move from your nightstand to a hotel room. It offers up to 25W Qi2.2 phone charging and AirCool cooling. Choose it if packing separate chargers is part of the clutter you want to solve. It needs external power; it is not a battery pack.

For a charging display: Prime 3-in-1 Display Dock

The Prime dock combines up to 25W Qi2.2 phone charging with a built-in display and active cooling. The display lets you check charging status at the station. Choose it if you want to see charging status without picking up your devices.

Maximum phone-charging output is 15W or 25W, depending on the model. Your phone, software, case, and power supply affect the result. Confirm support for your exact devices before buying.

Check these three things before buying

  1. Your phone and case. Confirm your exact phone is supported by the selected charger. Check both magnetic attachment and wireless-charging compatibility. A thick or unsuitable case can interfere with charging.
  2. Your earbud case. Check that your specific earbud case supports wireless charging.
  3. The power adapter. Check what comes in the selected bundle and use the adapter and cable specified for that model.

Once it arrives, place both devices on the stand and check that each shows it is charging. If the earbuds do not charge, reposition the case over the charging area. If the phone struggles, try removing its case. [1]

Keep a cable if it suits you better

If you like holding your phone while reading in bed, a cable may be more convenient than returning it to a stand. And if your current setup is reliable, a cable clip could solve the disappearing-connector problem without replacing your charger.

For phone and earbuds, keep the 2-in-1 on your shortlist. Add a watch, and consider the MagGo dock. Travel often, and the foldable Prime makes more sense. Choose the Prime display dock if you want charging status on the station itself. Give your choice a clear spot within reach, and make putting your devices down part of your bedtime routine.
